Monell's is a local restaurant serving southern food, family style. It is all you can eat and you will be seated at a large table with other guests. Visit their location in Germantown and walk around one of the cutest neighborhoods in Nashville. This is our #1 food recommendation, you can't go wrong with either breakfast or lunch!
Broadway is the main tourist corridor of Nashville. This a long street with multi-floor bars lining each side. Most of the bars have a similar vibe so we suggest just popping into whichever has a band that sounds good to you. Our personal favorite is The Stage. They have a great rooftop, good music, and patrons of all ages. P.S. If there is a line, go around back to the entrance in the alley.
If you want to try Nashville's famous hot chicken, go to Hattie B's. They have many locations around the city. Lower Broadway is closest to the city center, but usually has the longest line. A good alternative is the original in midtown.
East Nashville is the neighborhood we call home. Five Points is the heart of our side of town and provides a laid back, bohemian alternative to the vibrant noise of Broadway. Here you can find coffee shops, bookstores, dive bars, and restaurants.
This park is located across the street from Vanderbilt in the West End neighborhood of Nashville. This is a great place for a picnic or to take a nice walk around the pond and admire the full scale replica of the Parthenon.
Tennessee's Capitol building is adjacent to a lovely park with a farmers market, and our minor league baseball team, The Nashville Sounds. This is a nice place to relax, maybe catch a Shakespeare play, and try some food from around the world.
Midtown and Demonbreun Hill are similar to Broadway in that they are streets filled with bars. These two neighborhoods are right next to each other. They differ from Broadway by providing a more eclectic set of music from hip hop, EDM, along with the country music you will find throughout the city. The crowds here tend to skew a little younger (20s-early 30s).
