Our story
Emily and Julian met in Washington, D.C. in the swampy summer of 2017. Emily had freshly graduated from Fordham and was in town for a summer internship at NPR, while Julian was a year into post-Georgetown life and working as a political consultant.
Neither were searching for their soulmate when they first met each other at DC's legendary Red Derby bar. But when you know, you know. After a summer of bike rides, sweaty shows at 9:30 Club, and sneaking Julian into Tiny Desk concerts, the two were inseparable.
Emily moved to Baltimore in 2019, where Julian joined her in 2020. He popped the question at the Glenstone Museum, their very favorite place. Emily and Julian are thrilled to celebrate their love on the Jersey Shore, where Emily grew up crowdsurfing at the Stone Pony and attempting to surf in Spring Lake and where Julian has embraced beach bum life.
