How do I RSVP?

Answer

After our invites are sent out, you will be able to RSVP in a new tab on our wedding website. You can RSVP to different wedding events if you are not able to attend the whole wedding.

What if I don't RSVP on time?

Answer

If you don't RSVP by May 20th, you will be marked as "not attending." We would love celebrating with you, however, we have to provide an exact guest count to our vendors and cannot accept late RSVP's. This also means that if you don't RSVP, you are not allowed to show up to our special day. There will be no seating, food, or drink accommodations for you.

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will definitely be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate "Will NOT Attend" on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you already RSVP'd "Will Attend" but find that you can no longer make it, please notify Julia or Steven ASAP.

Can I bring a date or a plus one?

Answer

Due to a limited budget, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invite will be made out to "Your Name & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding.

Is this a kid-friendly wedding?

Answer

We love and adore your little ones, however, we have decided to keep our wedding an adult-only event with the exception of the children in the wedding. If your children are invited, it will be indicated on your invitation. We encourage you to use this night as a fun date night, and we appreciate you making prior arrangements so you can celebrate with us.

Travel, Accommodations, and Directions

Venue address: 141 Black Rd, Volant, PA 16156 Hotel Block: Hampton Inn & Suites - 4 Holiday Blvd, Mercer, PA 16137 Although we have a hotel block, feel free to stay in a place that is within your budget and where you will be the most comfortable. Please let the bride or groom know if you are flying in and needs transportation.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking available at the front entrance of the venue. Please note the parking is on gravel.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony (weather permitting) will take place outdoors by the venue's dock. The cocktail hour will take place on the lower-level of the venue, as well as the outside patio. Lastly, dinner and the majority of the reception will take place indoors on the upper-level of the venue.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony begins at 4:30 PM. Guests should arrive no later than 4:15 PM. If you arrive after this time, you will be asked to wait in the reception area until the ceremony is finished.

Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Short answer: no. We are having an "unplugged" ceremony; no phones or cameras are to be used until the cocktail hour. We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us, and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them. We ask that you be in the present with us during this special moment

What is the dress code?

Answer

The wedding is semi-formal (no jeans). For men, wearing a suit or dress shirt with a tie is suggested. A midi or knee-length dress are welcome for women, as well as, dressy separates. Avoid wearing white, cream, and ivory. If you do wear these colors, you may be asked to leave or change.

How can I contribute to your honeymoon fund? Registry?

Answer

The greatest gift of all if you being there on our special day. If you wish to contribute to our honeymoon, we have a "registry" tab on our website and a card can be dropped in the card box at our reception.

I have a food allergy/food restrictions, can I make a special request?

Answer

If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know with your RSVP so we can make the accommodations for you.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you... get ready to party! We will have our signature drinks for you to try. You may also bring cash to tip the bartenders.
