Kneadery: A Sun Valley Breakfast staple. Good for groups to have a sit down breakfast/brunch. Bigwood Bread Cafe: Julia's favorite! Lunch menu starts at 11 but has great breakfast and lunch options. Java: Coffee shop with good quick eats. Wrapcity: Quick and easy wraps to go. Tanner highly recommends the Super Kids Wrap. Sub Shack: Tanner's favorite sandwich place in the entire world. They offer $1 pints which is the cheapest in town. Konditorei: Sun Valley resort staple. Good option if you also want to check out the shops.
Pioneer Saloon: An absolute must if you can get a table. No reservations so get there early but it's worth the wait and you can hang by the bar with a margarita while you wait. Sawtooth Club: Great food and great bar. Good for bigger groups and they take reservations. Ketchum Grill: Steaks, burgers, and more. Despo's: Mexican with altitude. Rickshaw: Flanigan family favorite. Asian fusion, more tapas style. The Covey: Amazing dinner spot. On the pricier side but worth it if you're looking for a phenomenal sit down dinner.
Grumpy's: Iconic Sun Valley dive bar. Make sure you order a Schooner to drink. Solid bar food available as well. Lefty's: Great all around bar with good bar food. They have a nice patio out back as well. Sun Valley Brewery: Great tap list of local beers. Better than average eats. TNT Taproom: Newer spot in town. Great beer selection. The Casino: Dive bar. Beers and pool. Enough said. The Cellar: Good bar to end the night. Shuffleboard and Big Buck Hunter- Tanner's favorite.
Roundhouse: Take the gondola up to roundhouse for a drink on the patio. Will likely have to get a reservation to eat but the views are phenomenal. Galena Lodge: ~30 min north of Ketchum. Great hiking trails and mountain biking. Hiking: Adam's gulch loop (not too strenuous, good running trail). Fox Creek (fairly strenuous, better for hiking than running). Hike to the top of baldy and take the chairlift down! (quite strenuous) Golf: Book a tee time at Trail Creek (18 holes), White Cloud (9 holes), or Elkhorn (18 holes) golf courses. Big Wood (9 holes) Biking: Rent bikes from Sturtevants in downtown Ketchum and follow the Sun Valley Bike Trail loop around town, through Elkhorn, Sun Valley and back to Ketchum. You can also take your bike up the gondola and mountain bike down Baldy! Sport Shooting: Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays. Reserve in advance. Red Fish Lake: ~60 min drive north of Ketchum.
