Things To Do

Coors Brewery Tour

1221 Ford Street, Golden, Colorado 80401
, +1 800-642-6116

For those of you who are familiar with Coors Beer made with Rocky Mountain Spring water…yup, Golden is its home town!  Tours run from 10am to 4pm and end with three free samples!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre

2901 Ship Rock Road, Golden, Colorado 80401
, +1 720-865-2494

practically across the road from those of you staying at Origins Hotel.  For those of you staying at Comfort Inn Suites of Evergreen you are only 15 minutes away. This is the perfect place for an early morning run (or walk if you are working your way up the stairs from the bottom).  Check out tickets for the concert that Saturday night if you wish. At 6,450 feet it is a geological phenomenon and the only natural outdoor amphitheater in the world. Not to miss!

Buffalo Bill Museum

987 Lookout Mountain Road, Golden, Colorado 80401
, +1 303-526-0744

full of exhibits and artifacts from William F. Cody along with exhibits of Buffalo Bill’s life and his Wild West Shows.  Regardless of where you are staying, you can exit at #256 from I-70. Go right at the ramp and then an immediate left to Lookout Mountain Road.  Travel approximately 4 miles. The museum is on your left and is always a must to visit when we have out of town guests.

Town of Golden

1117 Washington Avenue, Golden, Colorado 80401

Golden is an old Gold Rush town founded in 1859. Take time to walk the old boardwalk down Washington Avenue and stop in at the oldest bar in Colorado, the Buffalo Rose.

Pines at Genesee- Bison

633 Park Point Drive, Golden, Colorado 80401
, +1 303-526-7939

accessed from the Genesee exit #257.  While the wedding venue is on the south side of I-70, our famous BISON herd can often be seen on the NW corner of the exit.  There are places to park to take pictures and if you don’t spot them, look again the next time you are driving by.

Town of Evergreen

28016 Colorado 74, Evergreen, Colorado 80439

easily accessed from I-70 at the Evergreen Parkway Exit #259 and is a mountain town with arts, crafts, shopping and dining.  Whether you stop at Creekside Cellars or Murphey’s Mountain Grill, you can enjoy Bear Creek, which runs through the middle of town, from your table.  Peek your head in the Little Bear Saloon on the boardwalk and notice what is hanging from the ceiling. When coming into town, you can’t help but notice beautiful Evergreen Lake – paddle boards and boats are available for rent.
