Jud and I were set up by my best friend Chelsea, who is also a nurse and happens to be one of Jud's co-workers. One evening during a girls' night, I was complaining about how I was tired of the dating scene, and how it was so hard to find someone who shared similar values and goals in life! Chels thought that since Jud and I have a few things in common, it would be worth introducing us. Jud and I met up one night for tacos with Chelsea and her husband, and our friend Sarah and her now husband, Andrew. Jud and I instantly became smitten kittens, and the rest is history!
My engagement ring is so special and has so much meaning to it! The center stone, which was worn by my late mother and grandmother, was passed to me by my dad when it became clear that Jud was the one. The stones on each side were taken from a band that was given to my mom by my dad on their 10th wedding anniversary. That anniversary band had a unique twist in it that tied all the stones together. When designing the ring, I wanted to utilize that design to keep my ring unique, as well as pay tribute to my mom. My mother's rings were set in gold, however the original setting for the solitaire diamond my grandmother wore was platinum, so it was only fitting to set the ring in platinum to honor my grandmother as well. It is such a special ring that I feel so honored to wear everyday!
