If you have any questions other than what we have listed here, please reach out to the mother of the bride, Joyce Cassidy, at (914) 473-1005.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We request that you RSVP by May 1st. We value your presence at our wedding and appreciate your timely response to assist us in finalizing the arrangements.

Question

How do I get onto Fort Myer Army Base to attend the ceremony?

Answer

Enter the military base via the Fort Myer Hatfield Gate (be sure to enter this into your GPS), then proceed to the Old Post Chapel. If you are in the military or a dependent, present your CAC to enter the base. If you are not military, you must sign up no later than 10 days from the wedding to receive a pass onto base. You can do so here: https://pass.aie.army.mil/JBMHH/

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive at the ceremony venue no later than 2:00 PM. This will allow you sufficient time to enter the military base, find parking, settle in, and ensure that you don't miss any important moments.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones during the ceremony?

Answer

We love photos, however we ask that you refrain from taking them during the ceremony that way our photographer has no obstacles in their way. For the reception you are welcome and encouraged to take and share photos of all the fun!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We invite our guests to join us in creating a garden party ambiance for our wedding celebration. While there is no strict dress code, we encourage you to embrace the spirit of a garden party by opting for light, breezy, and elegant attire. Please feel encouraged to incorporate our wedding colors of varied hydragea blues, but above all feel comfortable and enjoy the festivities in your own personal style!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unless otherwise stated on your invitation, we are unable to accommodate additional guests or plus ones at this time. We have carefully planned the guest list to ensure a memorable and intimate celebration and appreciate your understanding in this matter! Security at our venue will only allow those in who are on the guest list as there is a strict capacity. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kids! We did our best to include them and would be delighted to have them join us to celebrate all night. We ask that parents be responsible for their children and their needs throughout the event. If the full reception is too much for your little ones, your children and their caregiver are welcome to attend the ceremony and cocktail hour. In lieu of the reception, a treat from Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream in Shirlington is on us!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Certainly! We have put hotel block links and recommendations on our Travel page to accomodate proximity to the wedding venue, budgets, and preferences! Please note that it is always a good idea to book your accommodations well in advance to secure your preferred option.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Our ceremony will have plenty of on-site parking and our reception will have valet parking. You are also welcome to use our provided transportation throughout the day!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

TBD We may provide shuttles from the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington Shirlington to the ceremony, reception, and back to the hotel. Check back soon!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please reach out to the mother of the bride, Joyce Cassidy, at (914) 473-1005 to provide any special food requests.
