The Wedding Website of Alyssa Powell and Josiah Finley
Question

I can't make it out to Hawai'i, is there another way to participate?

Answer

We know that there are hundreds of people who have supported us, prayed for us, and mentored us who won't be able to come out to Oahu. We will be streaming the wedding live on facebook. You can find the event on the link below: https://www.facebook.com/events/1244783563586986

Question

How do you feel about wedding crashers...?

Answer

Although we wish we could have everyone known come and celebrate with us in Hawaii, we decided to opt for a smaller destination wedding and the accommodations and reservation we have now fit our wedding size. Wedding crashers are always a lot of fun, but in case would mean not enough food and lodging to go around. However, if you're interested in coming to the wedding please reach out to us directly and we can see what to do!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

-Trail shoes -Chacos or Tevas -Reef Safe Sunscreen -SPF Lip Balm -Day Pack for Hikes -Water Bottle -Swimsuit -UPF Swim Shirt -Shorts/T-shirts -Casual Dresses -Waterproof phone case -Mosquito Repellant Bands -Lightweight Fleece or Jacket -Sunglasses -Sunhat -Reading Material -Sleeping Bag or twin size bedding (If you're staying at the cabin at Camp Erdman)

Question

What should I not pack?

Answer

-Winter Clothing -Wedding presents (we are on the minimalist path right now, check our registry for more info) -Invasive plant & animal species -A bad attitude

Question

How much should I expect to spend?

Answer

There's some flexibility to that, but we will be providing three meals; the rehearsal dinner, breakfast and dinner on the wedding day. On Friday the 25th we're also planning on going out to breakfast together and exploring the island, potentially surfing as well, but that is on your own dollar. You can expect to spend between $150-$500 depending on how all-out you want to go on your Hawaiian vacation.

Question

Where am I sleeping?

Answer

If you haven't figured out accommodations yet, please reach out to us as soon as possible and we can try to arrange something affordable and close to the wedding venue. Shared Cabin - Cabin 27 - 16 beds, divided evenly into two no-door rooms - two showers, each with a toilet, sink, and shower - access to the communal shower house if you'd like - there are several wooden trunks to use for storage at the foot of the beds - no ac unit, but there are window shades and ceiling fans to get good air flow - electrical outlets throughout

Question

Who is going to pick me up from the airport?

Answer

Reach out to Alyssa if you have not arranged your airport pick-up yet. If you don't reach out to use we'll assume you figured out your own transportation.

Question

What amenities are available for us to use at Camp?

Answer

There's a full gym (weight rack, bike, yoga room, jump ropes, bands, dumbells, etc.) that we can give you the code to once you get here! There's guest wifi available, though as many camps are, it's sporadic and works best near the main office (there are chairs and tables on the office porch to chill at). You're welcome to use the laundry facilities that Josiah and I use as you are our guests. However there are 23 of you staying at Camp Erdman, so try to consolidate! For communal spaces like the gym, shower house, and laundry facilities, please remember that this is where our staff live, so they'll get priority for these spaces. :) There are wild junglefowl running around. If you can catch it, pluck it, skin it, and cook it, you have free food.

For all the days along the way
