We’re getting married!

If you ask Josh his version of the story he will tell you that I had a 500 mile radius set on my Bumble account! But that’s not exactly how it happened…I was in Illinois visiting my Aunt and Uncle. I had been using the online dating app back in Nebraska to date and one of the days I was in Illinois, I decided to just “explore” the dating pool here. Needless to say my swiping left then lead me to Josh’s profile. I was hesitant…didn’t think there was a point to swiping right when I didn’t live in the same state. A few days later, after countless messages and multiple phone calls we were going on a date! I know what you’re thinking, why would he take me out if I was leaving to go back to Nebraska the next day? Well surprisingly he took that better than I thought. I was prepared for him to ghost me…and for those not knowing the term, it is when the person just stops messaging or calling without any explanation. Instead when he found out I lived in Nebraska, he asked if he could take me out to dinner. Our first date was at Cooper’s Hawk in Naperville…even our waiter pick up on the fact that it was our first date and made it special for us! We then had after dinner drinks at Empire at the upstairs bar. Josh was always open and honest from the beginning and that’s what I loved about him. It is also what lead me to book a flight that same night to come back in a few weeks to see him! And of course his good looks as well!
