Maid of Honor
I’m so excited for two of my favorite people to be getting married, to my sister who I can talk to about literally anything. And to my brother-in-law who is always willing to do tik-toks with me. Because I have a speech at the wedding, I’m going to keep it short and simple, I love these two people deeply, and know we will turn up at the wedding!

If you had told me 12 years ago as a freshman at the University of Florida that the girl in my college algebra class with the long beautiful hair and Jamaican accent would be a lifelong friend, I wouldn’t have expected it, but in a few short weeks of hanging out, I would have believed you. Myesha is so authentic and her support for those she surrounds herself with is too. When I think about my college experience the first thing that comes to mind is the fun I had thanks to being friends with Myesha. The ying to my yang. Even the study sessions came with good food, laughs, and people like Josh. The admiration in his eyes and the love and respect he has always shown her never go unnoticed. It is truly an honor to see these two tie the knot and so meaningful to be a part of their wedding party. Cheers to a lovely couple! 🥂❤️

In 2015, I met Myesha in the Mississippi Delta while at Teach for America. As fate would have it, we became Caribbean sisters by heart, sharing in the trials, joys, and excitement of every moment during those years. We enjoyed traveling to hang out in our respective towns on the weekends, and now, visiting each other has become one of the elements of our sisterhood. Being the most “down-to-earth” person I have ever met would always be my favorite saying to describe Myesha. She has endured my many crazy stories, has never failed to laugh at my silly jokes, and is always so unapologetically supportive of not only me but the many people she loves. She is “rare gold” and the most deserving partner for Josh. I have admired the level of commitment and love that they have shared over the years, and I am so excited to see them grow with each other and, most importantly, witness them commit to standing in love forever. I wish you guys a life filled with endless love and many good blessing. Love always!

Myesha and I met in undergrad at UF. We were both involved in JAMSA, a student organization, and started our relationship as a social/student-business relationship. Little did I know we would become SISTERS just a few short months later! We joined our sorority together in the Spring of 2012 and have grown our bond over the years. Since moving back to Gainesville, our acquaintance turned into a sisterhood and has become a deep and rewarding friendship. Myesha and Josh's honest, fun and profound love for one another has provided an overwhelmingly positive example of what a life-long partnership could be. You can always catch the two of them dancing, studying, cooking, drinking, and laughing together. Seeing two individuals with a strong sense of self, come together and grow in love has been an honor. I wish your life-long journey brings joy, patience, adventure, and passion. Love you both!

Life with Myesha has been full of love, laughter, and many memories. Starting with a crazy trip in an Uber on Halloween to traveling across the globe to Jamaica; sprinkling in a few trips across the state, multiple concerts, and family gatherings, I can definitely say that our relationship has exceeded our expectations. Now, the highlight of it all is that I get to watch my friend, Myesha, take a trip down the aisle. What a blessing it has been to be a passenger on this ride called friendship. No matter how far the distance, our friendship has always been worth the ride. Josh, buckle up!
Best Man
How do I know the groom? I know the groom through being friends while at the University of Florida during our undergraduate years. What comes to mind when you think of Myesha and Josh as a couple? I think of unity both flagrant and subtle. Those two are always together and in some respects share the same thoughts on many things. They always put on a united front in the public view. Well wishes to the bride and groom. I believe that life is supposed to be not only a journey but a shared experience between oneself and the close friends and family of those around that individual. Therefore, when a person finds a life partner that encourages him to be the best version of himself and supplies the love and edification to make wise choices; that person has found a valuable treasure. I think that Josh has found that special person in his life, and I sincerely wish love, prosperity, and peace in their union.

How do you know the groom?: I know Josh from our time at UF. Primarily, through meeting Jaleel Zuniga, his fraternity brother, Josh and I have developed a great friendship through our mutual love of culture, football, and of course, the fade. What comes to mind when you think of Myesha and Josh: Laughter. Most of my memories involving you two involve so much laughter and joy. I recall numerous times on the set or at an event just busting out laughing from a joke or something someone did. All my fondest memories of you two involve laughter. Well Wishes: I sincerely hope and pray that the same laughter is carried out into your marriage and lives. May you guys find joy and adventure not only in life but more importantly in each other. I pray your days are filled with sincere elation, love, peace, and just overall happiness. Always wish the best for each other. Bring out the best in each other. I'm rooting for ya! - Jet

Well, well, well! Where do I begin? First off congratulations to the Bride and Groom, you two look great together. My girlfriend is best friends with Myesha, so naturally, Josh and I met through them and hit it off immediately. We’ve been hanging out ever since and share a passion for sports (mostly gator football), tech, good times, and The Weeknd. When I think about these two I imagine how much joy, individuality, care, and respect go into their bond. I think about how much they laugh together, how competitive they are and how much they complement one another. Although marriage isn’t easy, I know you two will weather the storms and commit to the vows you take. Congratulations! Here’s to the next chapter in your life.

1. Joshua and I first met in 8th grade I believe, in Mr. Strickland's class 😆 🤣 and then in high school, we started becoming really good friends. We both played soccer, and in our Jr and Sr years, we got very close and had some amazing fun and real times. After HS we became even tighter and had a helluva time as college kids, and even after that as men living our own lives and with spouses we have continued to be connected as if we just saw each other last week. 2. The thing that comes to mind, is a very smart couple, 2 very sharp very eloquent, and very intellectual individuals. 3. Guys I just did this literally on July 29, different story, scenic route, but the same thing. It's for life, not for play. Don't focus on tiny junk that is irrelevant, you're in it for the long haul, so love and support each other. After everything goes away, and the music goes off, whom do you have in your corner at the end of the day, EACH OTHER, love and respect each other, and be a TEAM, be "against the world" together, not against each other ever, because life is difficult. May the sun shine upon your faces, may the wind be at back, may you have a prosperous and thriving marriage together as you become one, and may the Lord bless you and keep you safe.
