We're getting married!!

Kara and Josh met in Vero Beach, Florida at a local bar, The Grove! They were sitting just a few seats away from each other when Kara invited Josh over to sit next to her! She remembers having an instant connection with Josh. She even talked about him moving to Australia with her as a travel nurse! Although those plans changed, things between Kara and Josh moved pretty quickly, and due to the pandemic they decided to move in together just a few short months after they started dating! Kara says this really gave them an opportunity to get to know each other inside and out and that’s when they knew it was meant to be.

Fast forward to a year and a half later. Kara and Josh were invited to a wedding in Asheville, North Carolina. The town was so spectacular. From restaurants to shopping to bars, it was a totally fun spot for the two of them. They visited the Biltmore Estate and had so much fun learning about the history of the Vanderbilts. Later that evening, Josh told Kara that he had plans for early breakfast to watch the sun rise. A taxi picked them up at 5:30 in the morning, they pulled up to a shopping plaza in a parking lot and Kara was very confused. Josh then told her that they were going on a hot air balloon! This has been one of Kara’s bucket list items and Josh already knew that. He hired a photographer to take pictures before they took off in air on the balloon. Then, 5,000 feet in the air, that's when it happened. Josh pulled out a box from his pocket and asked Kara to marry him! Talk about a fairytale proposal.
