How We Met:

We met many years ago at a youth retreat. Talked on the phone here and there while letting years pass by. In the summer of 2022 we reconnected decided to hang out at six flags and had so much fun. From there it was history.

How He Proposed:

For Brenda: We were in Napa enjoying the scenery and enjoying our talks about life when suddenly Joshua puts music on and starts to sing "Fly Me to The Moon" to me in a slow jazz version. As he’s singing, I turn around and see our loved ones gathered enjoying the moment with us. I was in complete shock, I couldn't help crying tears of joy, excitement, wonder, and love at this completely unexpected event. Then after what felt like an eternity, he finally gets on one knee and asks the question that will punctuate this chapter of our continuing love story and change the trajectory of our entire lives. It was an automatic yes for me! For Joshua: We went on our first date in June of 2022 in Napa. By August of that same year I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I spoke to her parents and asked for her hand. As soon as they accepted, the planning began. Thanks to Brenda's sisters (Meli and Jhacky), to her brother (Nando), and to her parents we were able to pull off the surprise of a lifetime. I drove her to Napa for what was supposed to be a simple date. I had already coordinated with the venue, the photographers (John and Fran Bonilla), and our families to wait for us there. They set up the speakers, brought flowers and balloons, then hid to wait for the signal. We sat down under the rolling hills overlooking Napa Valley talking about our future together and contemplating on how God had so unexpectedly brought us together. Once I knew all was in place, my heart began to pound, I took a deep breath, turned on the music, and began to sing. As l released each word I looked into her eyes and I could see the hope, trust, affection, determination, happiness, and above all...the love that she has for me. My voice cracked as I tried to contain a burst of emotions. As the end of the song came, our loved ones surrounded us, and I got on my knee and popped the question...thank God she said Yes!

Gifts

A humble request

Because we plan to move to Texas and start new life there, if it is your intention to bless us with a gift, a contribution toward our Newlywed Fund would be greatly appreciated due to the difficulty of transporting over such a great distance any gift that you would have given with so much love and effort. Contributions can be made in cash, check (attn: Joshua Zambrano), Venmo (scan code to come), or Zelle (Joshua Zambrano 1-415-420-9622).
