Brasstown offers a variety of amenities and activities including horseback riding, axe throwing, archery, golf, and dining options. There is also a sand volleyball court right by the venue site at the Sunset Pavilion (this is one of Joshua and Ashlyn's top highlights)!
Splash Island is $15 for 1 hour and is attached to The Ridges Resort Marina! You might even find the bride getting out some energy there!
The Marina is another great place by The Ridges Resort that has a great lake front restaurant and watercraft rentals!
There is a 1.2 mile easy loop along the lakeshore. It is approximately 1/4 mile from the Boundary Waters Resort. When you pull in make the first left down into the boat ramp parking. Trailhead can be accessed on main driveway or near lake end of the parking area.
Bell Mountain is a fun place that the Van Pelt family loves to visit for some fresh air and awesome views! This is great for everyone in the family. You drive almost all the way up then just walk the last couple hundred yards - just be warned, it is steep! It is also a steep drive, so do not drive a vehicle with trust issues or that is fully packed (speaking from personal experience!).
This is a moderate 2.4 mile roundtrip trail. These falls have a succession of 5 waterfalls and have an estimates total vertical drop of 300 feet. The High Shoals Trail follows along High Shoals Creek to observation decks beside 2 of the 5 streams cascading in the High Shoals Scenic Area.
This moderate trail is a 6.5 miles for the main loop (blazed orange), but there is also a 2.5 mile loop (blazed lime green). The trailhead to this hike attaches to Brasstown Valley Resort Golf Course. Use the golf course entrance to Brasstown Valley Resort and parking is on the right.
