Seasoning from our favorite Penzey's Spices
This spicy blend of chilis, lemon, garlic, and other local flavors from our favorite shop will make any meal scream Southwest. Penzey's shares our values and covers our tables, both at home and at the wedding. And when I say "our, favorite" I of course mean Josh and Murray's. Love blooms in the desert
Desert roses are a naturally occurring "flowers" of clustered crystals that form in the sands of the Sahara desert. We hope this special find from the Tuscon gem show helps to remind you of your own trip to our desert Southwest!
Ancient sea critters
These fossilized cephalopods, which can be up to 300 million years old, likely resembled a chambered nautilus and are a distant cousin of modern-day squid. Esther and I took a little longer to find the love of our lives, but these little old guys make us feel forever young!
The sober stone?
This gleaming purple variety of crystalline quartz got its name from the Greek améthystos, meaning "not intoxicated." Ancient Greeks believed that imbibing from amethyst vessels would prevent drunkneness. Care to test their theory out for yourself? Maybe we picked the wrong stone for tonight...
Yummy lemon stone
This amber-yellow variety of crystalline quartz gets its name from the same root as "citron," French for lemon. Want to squeeze one in your drink? This is also the first giant rock that we owned together, and it sits in our home right now. Add one to yours too!
