Brittnye was a front desk receptionist at the BRC back in 2006 where Josh worked out. He would always stop and talk to her at the front desk before playing basketball or training. Josh is very friendly and invited the entire staff to his wedding at the time which was in 2008, so Brittnye was actually there. At the end of that year Brittnye left to dance professionally on cruise ships with Carnival, which she ended up doing for the next 6 years. It wasn't until Nov. 17, 2018, 10 years later, that Josh and Brittnye even saw and reconnected with each other. Brittnye was going to a Memphis Tigers basketball game with her best friend, Jessie, and her husband, Jaime (BIG shout out to them;) Brittnye remembers riding in the back of the car and her best friend's husband replied, " Hey, we might be meeting up with my buddy Josh from high school, he's recently divorced and having a tough time. And Brittnye remembers saying, "I know Josh"...that night was like it was just the two of them and nothing else mattered.
From Josh: What is there not to love about Brittnye. At first sight it's her smile that lights up a room but that's just the start. I love her easy going personality and how she is always there for others. I promise she doesn't have one person that would say anything bad about her. Then, I simply Love the Way she Loves Me. I have never felt love like this before. From Brittnye: First off, Josh has the most magnetic and contagious personality I've ever met. He literally never meets a stranger and truly cares about everyone around him. He has the biggest heart and zest for life! I love how there's not a day that goes by that we are not laughing, smiling and dancing around at home together! He always puts me first and makes sure I know how much he truly loves me EVERY SINGLE DAY. Loving Josh is the easiest and best thing ever in life!
We LOVE to travel and go on all the vacations, the more the better! With both of us being personal trainers and running a fitness business together we love to workout and push each other to be our best selves. Another one of our favorite things to do is go to the movie theater and get the full experience. We love going to concerts especially when it comes to seeing Boyz II Men, which Josh is definitely their biggest fan, you can ask any of his friends.lol We actually knew what our "First Dance" song was going to be as soon as we heard them sing "AMAZED". Of course, we have to mention that we really enjoy watching the Buffalo Bills play as we sport our special/same gear, as Josh is very superstitious! There are so many things we love to do together but one takes the cake and it's literally chilling on the couch with our sweet and energetic chocolate lab, Reesey Piecey, and assuming the position as we like to call it, we literally fit together like a puzzle piece!
It was an amazing and unforgettable night celebrating and bringing in the New Year with some of our closest friends at a beautiful Masquerade Ball/New Orleans style party at Orion Hill. After dancing the night away, at the stroke of midnight Josh and Brittnye kissed and then he dropped down to one knee. Bless his heart, Josh was so nervous that he ended up putting his hand over her mouth instead of his, tried to put the ring on the wrong hand and couldn't get a word out. Josh kept repeating, " I'm so sorry I had a whole speech prepared that I've been practicing for months." Brittnye told him that his face said 1,000 words and she knew exactly what he was trying to say. It was literally one of the biggest surprises ever!!! It meant the world to have some of our closest friends there, who all knew but Brittnye. Josh had apparently been planning for months to pop the Big question and she had no idea! It was truly the BEST way to "ring" in the New Year! 2024 started with the biggest and easiest YES ever in Brittnye's life!!! 12.31.23 will forever be one of the most magical and memorable nights!
