Josh and Allie first connected through text messages, and hit things off right away. So much so, in fact, that Allie invited Josh to be her date to Winter Formal without even meeting him! (There was a deadline to sign up, okay?) Later, it came out that Josh and Allie actually lived on the same street, about a three minute walk door to door. How lucky is that?!

February 2020-- Josh and Allie, dressed formally, celebrate their first Valentine's day together at Arby's. March 2020-- Fleeing Covid, Josh and Allie drive down to Atlanta with two guinea pigs (a friend's). Josh learns way too much about guinea pigs. May 2020-- Allie drives 14 hours in one day to visit Josh and his family in Texas. July 2020-- Josh drives 14 hours in one day to visit Allie and her family in Atlanta. Return to life in New Haven. October 2020-- Baseball on hold. Josh and Allie spend lots of time hiking. February 2021-- Josh and Allie, dressed formally, celebrate their second Valentine's day together at Olive Garden. June 2021-- Something special happens involving a ring! October 2021-- Josh and Allie, with nearly no sleep, witness Texas A&M take out #1 Alabama at Kyle Field. Gig em!

Josh flies in from recruiting just to spend some time with Allie. Or so she thinks! After a wonderful breakfast at a favorite downtown cafe, Josh and Allie set out for a day of hiking. After winding through the trails for over an hour, Josh and Allie settle on their favorite lookout spot. All of a sudden, Josh is down on one knee! He pops the question with his grandmother's ring. Allie responds with "A thousand times yes!" Allie's parents pop out from a hiding spot, Josh's parents and sister look on with video chat (due to Covid concerns), and Allie's cherished roommates Cam and Maria have been taking photos. A perfect weekend!
