Josh and Cheyenne both attended Thurston High School in Springfield, Or and met at a Hello Dance during Josh’s senior year, and Cheyenne’s Sophomore year. They and other friends instantly clicked and became a big portion of each others lives, constantly hanging out and making memories. The following school year after Josh graduated, he and Cheyenne began dating and were as inceperable as they could be as a young couple. Roughly 6-8 months into dating, they went their seperate ways and continued their lives without one another in it. During that time, both Cheyenne and Josh explored relationships with other people, and major life events occurred such as Josh joining the United States Army as an Infantry man, and Cheyenne’s father and grandmother passing away. Very few and far between over those few years would they contact one another to see how they were doing. Cheyenne was in her Freshman year of college when Josh came home from the military in early 2017. Josh reached out to Cheyenne and after talking for a little while, they decided to meet up after not seeing one another for 4-5 years. Cheyenne had just gotten out of a difficult relationship and was hesitant when Josh approached her about dating once again. A few months later Cheyenne asked Josh to be her boyfriend and the two moved into things quickly. They moved in together, they adopted their dog Jesse, and in the early fall of 2018, they were pregnant. Before the day of their maternity shoot, Josh had secretly planned a proposal with the photographer, and during it, surprised Cheyenne in the best way possible. A perfect, forever promise captured on film. Just over a month after the engagement, Cheyenne and Josh welcomed their son Jonah Lynn Ropp into the world on July 9th, 2019. The perfect addition to their family, and a love outside of loving one another... they never thought existed.
