Josephine and Kathryn will be spending Friday and Saturday night at The Guild hotel in the Gaslamp District. Our San Diego sources have suggested South Park, North Park, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, La Jolla, and University Heights alternate neighborhoods to find lodging.
Picnic Chic What do we mean by this? It’s a little fanciful but not formal. We’ll be on grass so wear heels at your own discretion (or take ‘em off while we’re park-partying). We will have some poufs/chairs but also picnic blankets. We’ll have lawn games and you can bring a frisbee, soccer ball, bubbles if you like! The area is not super shaded and it should be about 70 and sunny so dress/sunscreen accordingly. Please dress for the weather as all events will be outside ☀️🌱
Please arrive at Redwood Circle in Balboa Park no later than 4:00 p.m. If you arrive early, Balboa Park has a lot to offer! Check out local guides to find a museum, garden, zoo, or other site you might want to check out before the wedding. We recommend checking out the Administration Building at Balboa Park (it’s prettier than it sounds) and the Sunset Cliffs for a great view of the ocean!
Yes! We are registered with Zola and Anthropologie. You can find our registries by going to the Registry page on our website.
Please let us know if you will be able to celebrate with us in San Diego by August 1, 2023.
Yes please! Of course we don’t mind if you want to leave them at home and enjoy some time away, but they are invited and we would love for them to come. There will be NA beverages and some kid-friendly food, but if they require specific foods (eg if they only eat cheerios and oranges) please bring it.
We are providing pizza and appetizers for dinner, as well as cake! There will be gluten-free and vegetarian options. Contamination may occur during the cooking or serving process. If you have a severe allergy or other strict need please let Josephine or Kathryn know as soon as possible, or plan to bring your own food.
We recommend a car rental, ZipCar, or ride sharing to get around. There is street parking both at the ceremony and reception locations. These are public and first come first served. We plan to walk from the park to the brewery so plan accordingly if you are driving. Parking is free in the park (in designated spaces) until midnight.
