Flight
Naples International Airport
This is the closest airport to Sorrento. From the Naples Intl. Airport, it's about a 45 minute drive (depending on traffic). We recommend arranging private transfer in advance, as they don't have Uber or Lyft. Oftentimes the hotel can arrange this for you.
Train
Naples Centrale → Sorrento
If you fly into the Naples International Airport, you can take the regular airport shuttle bus to Naples Stazione Centrale (there is a bus every 30 minutes, the fare is only a couple Euro and the journey takes about 20 minutes depending on the traffic). The bus will drop you off at Piazza Garibaldi on the opposite side to the train station. Once at Naples Central Station, make your way to the area for departures of the "Circumvesuviana" local trains. Trains leave to Sorrento every 30/60 minutes. You can buy tickets online in advance, the train ride is about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Flight
Rome International Airport
Another option is flying into Rome's International Airport (FCO), which tends to have more availability for direct and connecting flights and flexibility options for international flights than Naples.
Train
Roma Termini → Sorrento
The fastest way to get from Rome to Sorrento is to take a train from Rome to Naples, followed by private transfer to Sorrento. You can also book a train ride from Rome to Sorrento, but you will have to transfer at Naples.
