If Greta and Joe's romance were a movie, it might not win an Oscar, but you'll want to own the soundtrack (https://tinyurl.com/GGandJoe). It was in fact a Robert Earl Keen concert that delayed their initial dating, as Greta had tickets the Friday that Joe proposed they originally meet. When they did finally meet, the couple had an instant spark in the low light at the Golden Goose where Greta told Joe wonderful stories about her bohemian friends at the Garrison and her two Chihuahuas, Marfa Roo and Gracie Lou. After walking her to her car, he secured the first of what would become many kisses. Their second date was dinner and a show. It was here that Greta was first introduced to "the buckle", which she noticed from the Uber as Joe waited on the curb. They had a lovely dinner, and walked around the city as they waited for the start of a local soul act "Tomar and the FCs" at the infamous Continental Club. They would later meet Tomar at an Austin Gilgronis Rugby match, and he was so warm about his role in their early romance. The couple would have to endure an unexpected bit of distance, as Joe traveled to Colorado to see one of his favorite bands, the "The Black Pumas", followed by Greta traveling to help out her folks. They spoke frequently, and in this case absence made the heart go fonder. Once back in Austin, the two would enjoy "Blues on the Green" where Joe met several of Greta's friends. It would be the first instance of Joe being taken by the warmth and welcome that her friends would show him. It turns out that this was merely a preview of their musical adventures at Zilker park, as Greta took Joe to his very first ACL festival. The couples song, "Light My Love", was performed by their mutual favorite act from that show, "Greta Van Fleet". The couple would continue this pattern, enjoying the Hamilton Musical, dancing to Polka at Wurstfest, and enjoying "Rodrigo y Gabriela" with their friends Dave and Cheryl. Music continues to play an integral role in their life. They will regularly start the day by serenading the chi-chis to the "Chihuahua Cha Cha Cha" Song. They both love the song "Lava" to the extent that they have multiple volcano items in their shared home, and can be regularly be caught saying "I lava you" to one another. With every beat of every song, they share a smile, and are so excited for the next step in their life together.
