We met on a sunny Thursday afternoon. It was our first time being partnered together that day. When Jordan introduced himself, the soft sound of his voice surrounded me and brought comfort. We eventually would find ourselves requesting to be partnered together on every shift. We worked so well together. In EMS it is said you know you have a great partner if you can run a call without talking to each other. That was us! We could run the most wild calls and didn’t have a need to discuss anything. As time went on, our feelings towards each other shifted from good partners, to great partners, to best friends, to dating. Due to us dating, we could no longer work together but, we find ourselves always missing those times. Jordan was introduced to James over dinner. They immediately bonded and even have nicknames for one another. James is Jay Jay the Jet Plane and Jordan is Chumbo. You can always find them playing some sort of video game, running through the house, or kicking a soccer ball. A man of my dreams is what Jordan is! Each year we visit the Smokies and on 12/28/2022, he declared his love for me! Jordan proposed in an open field with the Smokies in the background during a family photo session.
