Late 2010/ early 2011 they met at Forward Manor Assistant Living. Jordan was a dish boy and Mary was a server. They started to hangout outside of work, taking trips to the beach or the mall. They started dating May 16, 2011 after their first date which was to the park and than Target. That summer they did everything together. Besides working together, they went to the beach, parks, a music festival and Williamsburg, Virginia. Little did they know, that was just the beginning...

On July 26th, 2016, they went to dinner to celebrate Mary's birthday. On the way, Mary asked Jordan if he wanted to stop at the fountains before dinner to see if there were any Pokemon. When they got out of the car, she saw him grab the ring box out of the car. He said he wanted to ask her on the playground and as they walked around the pond he told her that he wanted to ask there because it was where they had their first date. As they got to the playground, they climbed up and he wrapped his arms around her and gave his speech and asked if she would marry him. She told him he had to get on one knee, he laughed, but then he got down and asked her again and of course she said yes!
