Jordan and Tobie were introduced to each other through Tobie's brother-in-law, Jordan's classmate, Zachary Kreitler. Zak told Jordan he had a "good Lutheran lady" he had in mind for him. They started talking through social media, and met in person at Zak's wedding. Tobie thought Jordan was nice and cute. Tobie's father invited Jordan to church services the next day. By the end of the night, Tobie was looking forward to seeing Jordan the next morning. They continued communicating and their relationship blossomed.

Jordan took Tobie downtown Union Grove, WI to shop at the general store. Then, like normal, they visited the gazebo in the town square. Prefaced with sweet words, Jordan got down on one knee and before he could even ask Tobie "Will you marry me?" Tobie was nodding. Once Jordan got the words out, she replied with a confident "Yes!" They embraced each other and then made their way back home to share the good news with family and friends.
