Question

What are your COVID-19 policies?

Answer

To ensure all our guests can celebrate safely, guests must provide proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 at the door (digital copies and photographs are fine). In light of the Omicron variant, guests ages 12+ must also provide one of the following: 1. Proof of booster (3 doses of Pfizer/Moderna, or one dose J&J plus one dose either Pfizer of Moderna). 2. Proof of vaccination (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna, or one dose J&J) and a negative COVID-19 test dated within 48 hours of our wedding start time (4pm 3/12). Time-stamped pictures of at-home tests will be accepted, but PCR or rapid-tests are preferred. Testing is available for a fee at O'Hare and Midway airports. Appointments are currently available, but if you plan to get tested there please make one soon. 3. Proof of vaccination (2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna, or one dose J&J) and proof of recovery from COVID-19 within 90 days of the wedding (3/12).

Question

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

The Harold Washington Library is located in downtown Chicago at State and Van Buren, right off the "Harold Washington Library" stop on the pink, orange, and brown lines and off the "Jackson" stop on the red and blue lines. Paid parking is available, but we recommend taking public transit, taxi, or rideshare. Enter at 401 S Plymouth Ct, and take the elevator to the "Winter Garden" on the 9th floor.

Question

When should I plan to be there?

Answer

The ceremony starts promptly at 4pm. Please arrive a few minutes early to get seated.

Question

Will the weather be nice?

Answer

It's Chicago in March, so probably not. However, the wedding will be indoors and there will be a coat-check provided.

Question

Can I take photos/videos during the event?

Answer

Please do! We request that you refrain from flash-photography during the ceremony, but videos, photos, selfies, etc. are highly encouraged throughout the event. If you post to social media, please tag us and use our wedding hashtag. We will have two professional photographers at the event and encourage you to get your photo taken by them as well.
