Go for a hike
If you are outdoorsy people like us, you'll have no shortage of hikes. The closest areas to the hotel block we have for you in Littleton, will be Roxborough State Park and Golden State Park. We recommend downloading the AllTrails app to search for hikes and track them as you hike.
See a Rockies Game!
Our home baseball team, The Rockies, are playing at Coors field throughout the days leading and following our wedding! We caution that if you are not going to a Rockies game but are planning to explore downtown that you prepare for a lot of tracking during the gametimes.
Float the river
While this is not Jon's favorite activities, it is Ashley's! River tubing down the Platte River is one of the most relaxing ways to spend a sunny day. Rent some tubes and head to the South Platte River in Golden. There's nothing better than blasting your tunes with a cold drink in your hand floating down the river. This is next to the Coors Brewery as well if you want to take a tour after!
Head to downtown Littleton
Downtown Littleton is just minutes from our hotel block and is a cute area to shop and eat at. Fun fact: Jon created Ashley’s engagement at a shop in Littleton!
Relax at a brewery
As the home of Coors, Colorado is known for it's great breweries. Even if you're a non-drinker, there are some fun spots we love that have a great atmosphere. We even love to bring our cards so Ashley can whoop Jon's butt in a game. Some of our favorites are Lowry Beer Garden in Denver and The Golden Mill in Golden (also a food hall).
Go to a mountain town
We love doing day trips to mountain towns to walk around or get a coffee. Some of our favorites are Estes Park (the Stanley hotel from the movie The Shining is here!), downtown Evergreen (we love The Muddy Buck for coffee), downtown Boulder.
See Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Head up to the imfamous Red Rocks Ampitheater. The venue was carved out of the rock and is a stunning view from the top! You can see a concert, hike on the trails surrounding, or just drive up to the top. Either way, it's a must!
Eat at a food hall
Colorado has no shortage of food halls! Our absolute favorite is Avanti, which has locations in Denver & Boulder. Stop by Quiero Arepas there - you won’t regret it. We also love Stanley Market in Aurora and Denver Central Market!
