Just two kooks in love

We met back in April 2019 and went on our first date on April 21, 2019. He picked me up and I made sure to share my location in case he was a murderer -- spoiler, he isn't. We went to a small restaurant in PB and Jonny was so nervous that he talked the entire time. He ordered a salad (I don't think I've seen him order one since). After dinner, we went to hang out in his yard and watch the sunset. We immediately hit it off.

While Jonny was on an eight month deployment, he designed the ring and planned the proposal. However, his boat had other plans for him and his initial plan was derailed by repairs needed for the ship and spent the last month of his deployment in Japan. He flew back on Friday, February 25 into the San Diego Airport. He picked up the ring the next day and planned to propose at sunset, but we never made it there as we took too long changing the battery in his car at O'Reilly. We picked up sandwiches and went to watch the sunset in Point Loma. Right before the sun sat, he proposed and I said, "Yes" but it didn't come out and I had to nod instead. And just like that, we were engaged.
