Jon and Cassie were first introduced at a pool party hosted at her family's home, but the timing was not suitable for either of them. Months later, after Jon's mother passed, Cassie spotted Jon across the narthex at church and knew he was worth pursuing. She began talking to Jon over Facebook. In October 2015, when Cassie broke her ankle in a car accident, Jon was one of the first people to arrive at the hospital. Cassie knew right then and there that she had met her future husband. Jon would frequently visit Cassie at her parent's home while she healed from her ankle surgery. On November 23, 2015, they went on their first official date. From that day forward, Jon and Cassie built a beautiful life together. On September 7, 2021, Jon got on one knee and asked Cassie to marry him on Gaviota Beach. They work towards their goals together daily and rejoice in the seasons of life that have brought them to where they are today.
