For the CEREMONY: We encourage guests to wear traditional Indian clothing such the photos in this article: (https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-indian-wedding#what-to-wear-to-indian) or this website (https://www.azafashions.com). For women: sarees, lehenga or salwar kameez style dresses. For men: kurta or sherwani. You are also welcome to wear Western-style clothing and if you choose this option go with garden attire (think sundresses/skirts, collared shirts for men, suits/tie optional). Whether you wear Indian or Western clothing, WE WANT COLOR! Also, we encourage you to bring or wear a sweater/jacket, and discourage pointy heels on account of grass/mud.
For the RECEPTION: You are welcome to continue the evening in Indian attire or change into Western formal/semi-formal wear. Heads up that Joni and Krishna will be changing into an American-style white wedding dress and tux respectively, along with the bridal/grooms parties.
LA weather is notoriously unpredictable in December. While usually sunny, temperatures can vary between the high 50s and low 80s! We encourage you to check out the weather before coming to get a sense of what it will be like. Our ceremony will be in the daytime but we encourage layers. The reception will be indoors as it tends to get significantly cooler once the sun goes down.
Short answer yes, and we will include them in your invitation. However please note that there is no supervision provided at either the ceremony or reception venues so we understand if you would like to come without your little one(s). Please do indicate on your RSVP if your children will be joining you for the ceremony, reception or both.
While we do encourage use of uber/lyft to get to the venues, there will be parking available for both events (more parking details will be provided as it gets closer). If you plan to drive, please let us know when you RSVP.
We encourage you to grab some lunch, take a nap back at your place of lodging, caffeinate and get ready for a fun night ahead! If you are local but live too far away to go home in between the ceremony and reception, connect with Joni/Krishna about where you might be able to chill before hand.
Please RSVP via the "RSVP" tab of this website by October 18th, 2023.
