We met the way most couples had to in 2020, by swiping right! After a few months of talking, we were finally able to meet each other in person. On January 6th, 2021- a snowy New England night, we had our first date at the Scorpion Bar at Patriot Place. At the time we were living in different states and Foxborough was the halfway point between Scituate, RI and Boston, MA. After hours of conversation and laughter, we were forced to leave as the restaurant closed for the night. That night we both knew we had something special. Distance proved not to be an issue for us. From that night, we proceeded to see each other every weekend either in Rhode Island or Boston....until those weeks apart seemed to be too long. On October 15, 2021, we moved in together in our home state of Rhode Island. Happy to never have to wait for Friday night's again, this proved to be one of our best decisions. In our 2.5 years of living together, we've had many laughs, made many memories, and took many trips- one of our favorite things to do together. One fun fact is that every place that we travel, we find a mini-golf course to have our traditional match! On our latest trip, we went to Autin, TX. Tayla has long had a special place in her heart for Texas, and always talked about going there together. With this in mind, Jon knew this would be the perfect place to ask Tayla to spend the rest of her life with him. On April 12th, 2023, at Mt. Bonnel (the highest point in Austin), Jon popped the question, and without hesitation, Tayla said yes! We are looking forward to starting this new chapter together and can't wait to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
