What does a freshly 21 year old guy do when he moves to a new city and knows no one? He gets on Tinder. Camille and Jonny matched on 05/29/2021. A week later, Jonny would eventually muster up the courage to ask Camille out on a first date. One date turned into several, nearly every week for the whole summer. As they parted to finish their last year of college, there was a mutual understanding of, "let's just be friends because long distance is complicated". Their friendship consisted of texting everyday with the occasional FaceTime. Camille even visited Jonny in Cincinnati for a weekend to show just how strong their friendship was. Jonny figured it would be only fair to visit her after graduation as well. Believe it or not, in June of 2022 they were both really confused with how their friendship should continue. Jonny finally asked Camille to be his girlfriend on 06/10/2022, but that didn't seem big enough. So, he also asked if he could move in with her across the country as she started her career in Portland, OR. She said yes to both. Jonny quickly found a job in Portland and moved into Camille's studio apartment that July. Since the move in Camille and Jonny's love for each other has blossomed like the cherry trees on the Willamette river. Camille has expanded Jonny's palate both for food and fitness, and Jonny's goofiness has rubbed off on Camille. They've hiked all over the PNW, eaten bagels every Saturday morning, and spent hundreds of hours listening to Meat Loaf and Styx. More importantly, they have grown in trust, empathy, compassion, and love. Jonny proposed to Camille three years to the day they first matched on Tinder at Latourell Falls, which was the first hike they did together in Portland. Now, they cannot wait to celebrate their love with all of those who have supported their journey.
