FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We will need to know whether or not you are attending by 9/21/2023. This is so we have plenty of time to notify our caterer and baker, and to make final preparations!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at the following places: Zola.com & Target (check out our Registry tab) As we already live together, there are very few traditional registry gifts we are in need of, so we are forgoing a more traditional registry approach in favor of a house fund plus a few smaller items!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 pm. Please arrive no earlier than 2:30 pm, but feel free to make yourself comfortable in the seating area. We will be providing some light refreshments for the ceremony with cocktail hour to follow.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We're hosting a semi-formal celebration. You need not break out your black tie garb, but we would recommend layers since much of our wedding will take place outdoors and October can be a bit unpredictable!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your personal invitation for plus one information!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are limiting guests under the age of 18 to those included by name on your invitation. Please ask if you have questions! If this is applicable to you, please note that you do not HAVE to bring your children, but we do have a place for them if they are named on your invitation.

Question

I'm interested in staying overnight at Camp Y-Koda! How do I prepare for that?

Answer

We are renting the entire campground and will have access to beds for everyone who wishes to stay. They are twin-sized bunk beds with mattresses provided, but you will need to bring your own bedding. We would recommend sleeping bags and pillows. There are shared bathroom facilities and access depends on which building you will be staying in. Johnsonville Lodge has bathrooms in the building, but the other lodges do not and will require venturing outdoors.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

You are welcome to stay at the campground, but we realize that reliving your summer camp days is not everyone's cup of tea. Please visit our Travel page for a list of suggested hotel options!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have a space for special dietary restrictions and requests on your RSVP, but please notify us of any concerns! We will be hosting a buffet-style dinner, but are in close talks with our caterer to ensure each of our guests have a delicious and safe meal.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The parking for both the ceremony and reception is the same as the parking for the general campground. We will have some special parking spots for guests with mobility concerns navigating the hillier parts of the venue.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We have not arranged any transportation to or from any lodging options. If you have concerns about travel after the wedding, we would recommend making arrangements to stay overnight at Camp Y-Koda.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will consist of: the ceremony, dinner reception, and an afterparty featuring s'mores and dancing. Guests who stay overnight at the campground will be welcome to continue to celebrate by indulging in a casual brunch the morning after.
