Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at a collection of private residences on the East edge of Urbana, Illinois. The address is 3712 E University Avenue, Urbana Illinois 61802. The wedding will be located outside so please dress accordingly and prepare for some walking on uneven ground.

Question

What's the deal with parking?

Answer

There will be limited parking on site, and many family members joining us from outside of a reasonable rideshare service distance, so we ask that anyone in the local CU area please carpool or utilize Uber to travel to the wedding. We will have an Uber code for you to use for a free ride to and from the event!

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

We would like you to have the evening off and celebrate with us, so please leave the little ones at home unless your invitation specifies that we have saved them a seat. For family whose children are invited, we ask that you make arrangements for the children to be home before dancing begins. This event has not been planned with children in mind, and is not child friendly.

Question

When does the wedding start?

Answer

If you know Megan, you know that she is perpetually on time :) The wedding ceremony will start promptly at 4pm. In order to avoid distractions, anyone arriving after 4pm will be asked to wait until the ceremony has ended to join the festivities. So instead of risking that, please join us closer to 3:30 to grab a drink, mingle a bit, and find your seats.

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Unfortunately, there is a home Illini football game the same day as the wedding, so there is limited lodging available. We encourage anyone needing accommodations to explore Airbnb and VBRO. Please reach out if you are having any trouble and Jonathan & Megan would be happy to assist.

Question

I have dietary restrictions, will there be accommodations for me?

Answer

Our dinner will be served by Mo's Burritos, and will offer gluten free, meat free, and dairy free options for those that need them. You will be able to specify these restrictions at the wedding when ordering your meal. Our dessert is gluten free and dairy free, but will have eggs.

Question

What the heck is "Festive Cocktail" attire?

Answer

"Festive attire is a fun and colorful spin on semi-formal wear," says bridal stylist Erika Plackowski. "It's an excuse to wear bright colors and prints to a wedding." It's also a mix of cocktail and semi-formal, so while you should expect to wear something on the fancy side, you can also let your personal style shine through. The last thing this wedding will be is stuffy, so your clothes shouldn't be either! Have some fun with it!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your invitation. If you have a plus one, when you RSVP there will be a field for you to mark that you will or will not bring a guest and what their name is. If you have any questions, please contact Jonathan or Megan!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 29, 2023. If you cannot attend, we will miss you, and would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Those who do not RSVP by July 29, 2023 - we are so sorry you cannot make it! If you miss this date, we will be unable to accommodate your presence at the event as we will send final head counts to our vendors shortly thereafter.
