The closest major airport to Elounda is Heraklion. From there it is a 1 hour drive to the east. Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be within a 5 minute drive from Elounda. 

There are no direct flights from the US to Heraklion, so you will have to connect through somewhere in Europe. From there, multiple carriers have flights to Heraklion. Kayak, Priceline and Travelocity.com are useful to compare fares and find connecting flights to Heraklion.

We will be staying in Elounda from the 8th of July until the 11th. Before and after those dates, we will be staying just west of Heraklion along the beach. If you will be staying in Crete before or after those dates, we recommend staying in or near Heraklion. There are many affordable hotels/Airbnb's that range from $30 to $60 a night.
