Jonah and Madison's story began at church, which both of their families attend, when he was in 7th grade and she was in the 6th. Both were actively involved in the youth group through their school years and a friendship began. On August 6, 2017 their friendship blossomed into a courtship. Over the next few years, as they each grew closer to the Lord through everyday life, mission trips, youth camps and time spent with each other's families, God drew Jonah and Madison closer to each other.
