We're getting married!

Jimmy and Beth first met in college at Michigan State University in August of 2012. Beth first caught Jimmy's eye while moving into Hubbard Hall (a name that would eventually mean a lot to them both). An 18 year old Jimmy fumbled over his words as he tried to introduce himself, but a friendship quickly developed between the two that permeated beyond Hubbard Hall and into student organizations & overlapping friend groups. During college, Jimmy and Beth spent extensive time together — from hanging at parties to traveling for student leadership conferences. Some of their favorite college memories involved Michigan State athletic events (Go Green!) and Greek Life events. Jimmy and Beth loved to be in each other's presence. As time went on and Jimmy and Beth grew up, nearing the end of their time at Michigan State University, their friendship had started to transform into something more serious. As those things happen, they believed that certain things happen for a reason and the timing of it all just felt, right. Jimmy and Beth began dating in the Spring of 2016. Spending the first year of their adult lives together, the two navigated a long distance relationship between Chicago and Detroit, with Jimmy working for Chicago Public Schools and Beth hitting the ground running with a sales job in Detroit. After a year apart, Beth joined Jimmy in Chicago to begin their next chapter. While Jimmy insists it was a big surprise, Beth definitely knew he had something up his sleeve on a rainy October Saturday in 2020. Jimmy proposed to Beth on October 17th, 2020. On a secluded beachfront of Lake Michigan in downtown Chicago, on an overcast day, Beth agreed to marry Jimmy and spend the rest of their lives together. Fast forward to the Summer of 2022. A lot has changed since then, but the love Jimmy and Beth have for one another is as strong as it has ever been. We can't wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in August!
