One day, I had just came home from work and I went to take my dog, Travis, out for a walk. We were walking down the sidewalk 3 buildings over from where I lived and I saw a tall handsome guy walking towards me. He looked deep in thought so as we passed each other I said “Hello”. And he said “Hello” back and turned down another sidewalk. As I was walking around the pond, I saw him from the other side. I told myself if we cross paths again, I’ll say something else. So as God intended, we did! I said “Taking a stroll huh”. And he said “Yes, I needed to clear my head.” So I said “Ain’t nothing wrong with that. We all need a break from something!” As I smiled 😉. After that, we talked almost everyday and haven’t been separated since! I think my smile did it for him and his laid back demeanor and fineness did it for me! ❤️

We flew to Honeoye, New York for my cousin’s wedding. We decided to drive to Niagara Falls to see it because being so close to it (an hour and a half away), why not! So we drove there and went to view it from the Canadian side. What a sight to see! I sat on the ledge on the bridge to admire the beauty of the Falls. As I was looking, Marlon tapped me to turn around and take a photo. As I began to smile for the picture, I turned to my right side and saw him on one knee. I couldn’t think of nothing else to do but smile, hide my face, and burst into tears! I finally know how it feels to actually get proposed to from the love of my life! To have the backdrop of the Niagara Falls behind and a crowd of people clapping for us is absolutely amazing!
