From Miami, about 80 miles to Islamorada From Ft Lauderdale, about 110 miles to Islamorada If you are staying in Key Largo, It's 20 miles further north closer to the airport.

Room block is at the Oceanside Resort and held until 9/16. 2 night minimum stay for the weekend. Rates per night are $249 for courtyard, $269 for poolside, $289 for ocean view for Friday/Saturday night. Sunday - Thursday rate $169 - $209. These group rates will be valid 3 days prior and 3 days post event. A credit card and one night room & tax is due at the time of booking. Rooms include full size refrigerator, microwave, and patio. We highly encourage a rental car so that you can experience the fantastic view and the other keys - a trip to Key West for a day (which triggered John's proposal) is one of the most iconic drives in the US. Shop around for rates - we used Sixt which has rates under $50/day. Some rental car companies offer a flat rate toll upon pick up, but this may not be worth it depending on how much driving you will do. If you don't want to rent, Keys Shuttle offers pick ups 6 times per day at both Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports, and can take you directly to Islamorada.

While all activity will take place at the Islander Resort, take a look at some other options for rentals that may be less expensive. Anywhere between Key Largo, where there is also both a Marriott and a Hilton property, or Tavernier & Plantation Key would work as you can get to Islamorada between 15 - 30 minutes drive
