Nestled in the heart of Colorado, Steamboat Lake State Park is a true gem, catering to a diverse range of interests. You get an awesome view of Hahns Peak as a picturesque backdrop to this park. Plenty of activities here from boating, hiking trails, fishing, campaing and more. There's a full-service marina and a sandy beach. We've rented boats here before and enjoyed cruising around for the day and the views are worth it! Directions from Steamboat Springs: Go west on US Hwy 40 to County Road 129. Travel 28 miles north of Steamboat Springs, turn left into visitor center. There is a $7/Vehicle Day Use Fee.

The 7.5-mile Yampa River Core Trail, which connects downtown Steamboat Springs to Bear River Park, is a paved multiuse trail for hikers and bikers. We've (tandem) biked here and it's a great way to see the charming town of Steamboat. For those looking to sip their way through town, walk or bike the Steamboat Brew Trail.
