Funnily enough, neither of us can remember the date of our actual first date. But we both agree it was memorable and we both wanted to see each other again! We were connected through eHarmony and met in person for the first time at Starbucks. We each got a coffee and talked for nearly an hour. We were both immediately attracted to one another and were excited for the second date. The rest is history!
Many people have said that we really had a good pandemic. Afterall, we got engaged at the height of it! It was the anniversary of us making our relationship official (yes, we remember that date 😂). We went to Blue Ridge Winery for dinner and wine tasting. We sat at a table on the balcony and enjoyed the setting sun, reflecting on our wonderful relationship. Then, after John sped-ate through his dinner and acted very strangely, he suddenly asked if we could take a picture with the sunset. I agreed and he insisted I also hand my phone over to a couple we didn’t know. Unbeknownst to me, John had asked the couple to Facebook live his proposal so our family and friends could watch ❤️ As we were “getting our picture taken” I was slightly annoyed that John turned and started talking to me. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, holding out my Grandmom’s wedding ring, asking me to be his forever. I, of course said “yes!!!” and the whole winery applauded!
