Absolutely! Kids of all ages are more than welcome to attend the ceremony and reception! Whenever we get around to setting up RSVPs, please only count kids older than 5 in your headcount of attendees so we get an appropriate food estimate. Stonewall also offers a ton of fun Christmas activities for kids all weekend long during the holidays!
Yes! We have blocks of rooms for both Friday night and Saturday night at a discounted rate. To get this discount, please call the resort to make your reservations and let them know that it is for the Walter Wedding.
Everyone's favorite answer - it depends. We recommend flying into either Pittsburgh or Charleston. The resort is a 1.5 hour drive from Charleston and slightly over a 2 hour drive from Pittsburgh. There is a small airport 40 minutes away from the resort (North Central West Virginia Airport) but it may have fewer flight options as it is a small airport.
We are developing registries at three different places - Amazon, Target, and In the Kitchen (local Pittsburgh shop). We have added the links under the "Registry" tab.
Yes, but that isn't the Roanoke where we are getting married. Its lesser-known relative is Roanoke, West Virginia where Stonewall Resort is located and where we are getting married. If you go to Roanoke, Virginia, you may end up at a wedding, but it won't be ours. If you are having trouble with directions or maps trying to direct you to Roanoke, Virginia, we recommend putting Stonewall Resort into your search and it will take you to the correct location.
We are doing Italian for dinner, so there will be plenty of pasta that kiddos can enjoy!
If you are missing a member of your party, please reach out to either John or Emily and they will get added in. If you don't have our phone numbers or social media, please email at ejwalt2023@gmail.com. Please note - children under 5 do not have an RSVP. You only need to RSVP for those older than 5 years old.
Not at all! No matter where you are driving from, it is a very easy place to get navigate. The resort is just a few miles off of I-79 and is a quick, direct drive!
For gentlemen, this means suits or sports coats, nice shirts, nice slacks, and ties, but no tuxes. For ladies, feel free to break out that full length dress you never get to wear anywhere, a cocktail dress, a pantsuit, nice slacks and a blouse, or a nice outfit you really enjoy.
Yes! We will be doing a Facebook livestream of the ceremony through Emily's Facebook with John tagged in it so all our friends can see. If for some reason, you don't have either of us on Facebook, we will likely make it public to make sure everyone who wants to watch can.
