Pinky Promise

It might not be a very traditional story, not a met between friends, not a saw each other across the bar, or even high school sweethearts, but hey online meeting is cute right? For a few months back and forth John will continue to message Brandi even if she didn’t want a relationship at the time, but something about this man and how he genuinely always checked in with her would bring her the courage to finally meet in person. They would plan out a date of going to dinner, then going and meeting Brandi’s friends. But it would seem the universe had different ideas. While traveling from Midwest city, where John lived, back to Edmond they would become so engulfed in conversation, talking about their lives, of realizing how similar they are, how well they got along, and how they shared wants and needs. So engulfed that they would drive almost an hour out of their way before they even realized that they had missed the exit. So yes the majority of the first date ended up being just long conversations in the car and listening to music but it’s one neither of them will ever forget.

After the first date (in the car) they finally went to met some friends and had a fun night later that evening sitting listening to music. A favorite song of Brandis, later to find out also Johns, played in the background, that happened to be “are you gonna kiss me or not”. Brandis cheesy self turned to face to this amazing man, and (badly) sing the words are you going to kiss me or not to him until he kissed her. A year later, they would get to go to a concert and get to hear “are you gonna kiss me or not” live, with an amazing group of friends that are now OUR family.
