We are allowing kids to attend the weekend festivities. That being said, we know that many moms and dads would like to let loose for a kid-free weekend. Whatever you'd like to do is good with us. We do ask that you include your child's name on the RSVP if they will be attending.
our wedding invitations took much longer to get to us than we initially anticipated. The RSVP date on the invitation says to return by April 20th. We understand that this is a short period to make decisions so if you could please RSVP by May 1st, we would greatly appreciate it.
Crofter's is set in a serene area of Northern Vermont. Camping is available on site for up to 10 tents or 20 guests, whichever comes first. Just let us know if you plan on camping or if you have any other questions.
For the ceremony and reception, think music festival chic. To us, this means fun colors and patterns with an elegant touch. We also want our guests to be comfortable and feel fabulous, so really anything goes. For footwear, we would not recommend wearing heels to the ceremony. We will be getting married on top of Jay Peak with uneven terrain, so just be cautious up there. We also recommend bringing a rain jacket because it is June in Vermont, but fingers crossed for perfect weather. Saturday will be much more casual, wear whatever you are comfortable in.
Our food caterers will also be providing bar service. Open bar, but tip your bartenders if you can. As for personal beverages, we ask that you do not bring in any outside alcohol while the caterers are operating. This could jeopardize their licence along with slapping us with a huge fee. Once the caterers are packed up, outside alcohol and personal beverages are permitted.
smoking is prohibited inside the barn and cottages, but there will be outdoor ashtrays available so please use them and respect the property.
oh yeah! Music making and open jam sessions are highly encouraged!
