Allie and John connected through mutual friends in 2019 where Allie ended up inviting John to a wedding the first time they met. He then celebrated her birthday with her the next day. Both of them weren’t ready for relationships, but always kept in touch. Allie knew John was special when she first met him. John and Allie visited each other back and forth for some time. After Allie decided to get a new job and move to Columbia, John could hardly resist! She’ll never forget John saying “I didn’t think I’d fall in love with you that quickly.”

Allie and John’s good friends were in town visiting and John was, of course, ready to show them around on the boat. In true fashion, it was cold and rainy, canceling all of the boating plans. Allie was upset because of the change in plans, but John was calm and planned to hop around downtown by starting at Halls for drinks with a few friends. On the way there they made a pit stop at the State House (as it was still raining) and right where John was going to pop the question was a tour group. Somehow John stalled and when he FINALLY got her in the right “spot” Allie was confused and asked him what he was doing and why he was nervous haha! That explains just about everything in their relationship. Everything felt right in that moment and they are still elated. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
