Johanna and Wes met in 2010 when they were on the Opening Team of the British Beer Company's Franklin Location. Their love blossomed through the pass, as Johanna was the Food Expediter and Wes the grill Cook. They started dating in April of 2011 and within 6 months Johanna had moved in with Wes and their Journey truly started. In 2012 They lived in Abington with Vannessa, Dan, Isabelle and Erich in a 2 family home. That was an experience, and they have fond memories of watching Isabelle grow. In 2013 Wes and Johanna left Massachusetts and went to Scottsdale Arizona to work Spring Training for the San Francisco Giants, Wes worked as the Chef and Johanna handled the front of the house, interacting with players and staff. After spring training they continued to work with Major League Baseball at the Dodgers and White Sox facility as Wes took a full time position. In 2014 Johanna's father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She was on a plane back to Massachusetts a few days later. Johanna spent 5 months taking care of her father before returning to Wes in the Arizona desert. Unfortunately Jeff passed away a few months later. In October of 2015 Wes took a job at a Country Club in Massachusetts. Wes stayed with his friend Mike while Johanna stayed in Arizona. In January of 2016 Wes and Johanna packed their dog Charlie and all there belongings and headed back to Massachusetts. They bounced around a few places at first but eventually settled in with Cathy Joh at the house Johanna grew up in. In December of 2016 they found out Johanna was pregnant with the twins. Wes decided it was time to make a lifestyle change and in March of 2017 he left the Charles River Country Club for Volante Farms in the hopes of finding a better work life balance. In May, Wes was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. He battled through treatment, but in February of 2020 it came back. That's when Wes and Johanna decided it was time to have the ceremony they had always wanted.
