I met the sweet, charming, charismatic Brent Barbour Fall 2013 in Alexandria, VA. Cool, calm, and collected, Brent would invite me out to Nationals games where we would support our local Washington D.C. baseball team. As time went on, Brent would take me out on dates to my favorite restaurants at Mike's American Grill and the spectacular French restaurant, La Chamierre, in Georgetown. He would persistently make theses sweet phone calls, and with each call, my heart would melt. Summer followed, and we would spend our free time in Annapolis with family and friends, typically picking crabs seasoned with old bay. And the rest is history..

Sunday morning, February 16, 2020, I awoke with anticipation for what was already going to be a special day. Brent and I had lunch plans with our families at the National Harbor and we were running early. As we walked around to pass the time, Brent suggested we take a ride in the Capital Wheel, as we had once early on in our relationship. At the top of the Capital Wheel, overlooking Washington D.C., Brent asked me to stand up to take in the incredible view of the city. As I stood, Brent got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was a beautiful and intimate proposal and a day I will never forget!
