5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.
Come by and join us for a German pre-wedding tradition and help us make the German saying 'Shards Bring Luck' come true. Polterabend is a German wedding custom in which, on a night before the wedding, the guests bring porcelain to the party and then smash it on the ground to bring luck to the couple's marriage. However, stoneware, flowerpots or ceramics such as tiles, sinks and toilet bowls are also happily thrown items. (Glass and mirrors should not be broken.) The couple must take care of cleaning up the pile of shards. This is supposed to make the couple aware that they will have to work together through difficult conditions and situations in life. Optional potluck. Feel free to bring some finger food. Beer will be available for purchase at the Bar. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. We look forward to celebrating with you!
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks.
Unplugged Ceremony: please mute and put away your phones, cameras and devices. The grass can be a little soft, so you might want to rethink stilettos!
5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Description: Dinner, drinks and dancing to follow our ceremony! The location has indoor and outdoor space and considering the unpredictable April weather we recommend you bring a shawl or light jacket.
