What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in Virginia during the fall can be hot and cold. Please be prepared for warmer weather during the day and cooler weather once the sun sets.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and the reception will both take place at Oak Creek Farms. The address is 25840 Independence Rd, Unionville VA, 22567.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside and the reception will be both inside and outside of the beautiful barn.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the cocktail area where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

There will be a celebratory brunch on Sunday, October 2nd from 10 AM to 1PM. Please feel free to stop by and say your goodbyes if you stayed in the area! The address for the brunch is: 15011 Beaver Dam Drive, Spotsylvania, VA 22551

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive thirty minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Where should guests park?

Answer

The area for our parking is the field marked on the right side of the driveway before you reach the barn. All guests must park in this field with the exception of handicap parking located by the barn and any vendors needing to transport items to the venue. Parking attendants will be provided.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

What to get the couple?

Answer

While we have a traditional registry, in lieu of traditional gifts, monetary gifts are graciously accepted. There will be a spot for cards to be kept safe at our ceremony.
