The wedding is black tie: tuxedos for men and long dresses for women. The ceremony and cocktail hour are on grass, so stiletto heels are not recommended. As card-carrying Texans, our Welcome Party theme is "I Do Barbecue." For ladies, we recommend cocktail and midi dresses or jumpsuits. Men, we suggest pants and a sports coat. Tie, no tie, or bolo tie - whichever suits your fancy. Everyone is encouraged to get in the Southern spirit and rock their cowboy boots and ten-gallon hats!
Westchester County Airport (HPN) is only 15 minutes away from the festivities and recommended hotels. That said, the airport is small and will likely only have flights from regional airports (Chicago, DC, Boston, West Palm Beach). For any other flyers, we recommend LaGuardia Airport (LGA), which is 25 miles from the hotel. Additionally, you can look at John F. Kennedy (JFK) & Newark Liberty Intl Airport (EWR), which are 38 & 40 miles, respectively, but please account for additional time in traffic with these options. You can easily Uber or rent a car from any of these.
Due to space constraints and our unfathomably large families, we cannot accommodate plus one requests. All invited guests will be noted on the addressed envelope.
Our wedding will be an adults-only event, unless specifically mentioned on your invitation.
The listed hotels are the closest ones to the venue, but you can stay anywhere. Transportation will only be provided to and from the weekend's events at the recommended hotel.
Wedding: There will be a roundtrip shuttle provided between the hotel and the venue. For those driving, parking & valet will be available. Welcome Party: There will be a roundtrip shuttle provided to/ from the hotel. If you're coming from Manhattan, the MetroNorth from Grand Central to Pleasantville is a great option, as the train station is a 5 minute walk from the venue. Westchester has Uber and Lyft, but there can be long wait times (approx 15 mins).
Objectively, New York fall is the best time of year. The tent will be warm, but we recommend that women bring shawls for cocktail hour, as things may cool down as the sun sets.
