We came here together for our first major outing Joe's first time in Florida. If you have a hard with stairs and dizziness please do not go into the lighthouse. The museum is wonderful though and there's a natural area right below the lighthouse where you can get gorgeous pictures as well!
There's a little bit of everything to do at this park. Hiking, bike rentals, kayak rentals, picnic tables, playground for kid's, boat tours, campgrounds, horseback riding, and an observation area where you can see so much including the ocean! The observation tower is the highest natural point in the state of Florida. Highly recommend this park for anyone!
This is one of our favorite beaches here on the Treasure Coast. It's about a 40 minute drive from our place which isn't bad at all! This beach is well taken care of, has lifeguards on staff during the day, no hotels in the area so it has a nice seclusion to it, they have bathrooms/showers and feet wash areas, and a gorgeous drive headed to the beach. Hobe Sound also has some great restaurants and also some cute shopping areas. Highly recommend for anyone!
NO KID'S ALLOWED WARNING! Tom (Amanda's Stepdad) plays his gigs here often, this is a really fun restaurant right across from the lighthouse. Great drinks, bands are awesome, beautiful outdoor scenery, parking can be tricky so please read the website, and all outdoor seating. They do also have a smoking area here. Food is pretty good too!
This is a nice walk under gorgeous tunnel greenery to the blowing rocks preserve. If your looking for a different experience and not necessarily a swimming day at this beach this is a cool spot to just walk and take in the scenery. Highly recommend bringing your water resistant shoes all the way out to the beach, just in case you decide to walk out on the rocks they are very sharp on the feet! They do have feet wash areas and bathrooms.
