- HOW WE MET - In August of 2019, Joe and I met on the popular dating app called Hinge where we initially talked about topics like the best airline to fly and where we each wanted to travel to. The banter was fun, and Joe asked me out after a few days of talking. Two days before our date, I did the Rugged Maniac obstacle race and I could barely move by the time our date rolled around. I tried to cancel on him because of this, but Joe’s response to me was “all you have to do is sit there and have a drink.” He was so right, and boy am I glad that I showed up to the date!! - DATING JOURNEY - Six months into dating, Covid took the world by storm, but Joe and I made the very best of it still being new in a relationship. We had a big paper map and made it a goal to do a bunch of mini road trips together and explore as many places as possible. To this day, we highlight all of the new routes we’ve taken together on the map. After one year of dating, we adopted our precious dog Pearl. We’ve also taken her on fun trips with us to the Royal Gorge, Breckenridge, Jackson Hole, and Park City. Joe has brought so much zest, laughter and fun to my life! We are looking forward to a marriage full of love, partnership, and continued adventures. - THE PROPOSAL - On Valentine’s Day, I came home to find two dozen red roses, a bottle of French wine, and a framed photo puzzle that I had created for Joe on our first Valentine’s Day. Joe asked if I wanted to go to Tartarian cocktail bar, the place we had our first date. We ordered a fancy cocktail and started talking about our past Valentine’s Days. Before I knew it, he pulled a ring out of his pocket and said “I want this one to be the most memorable one so will you spend the rest of your life with me?” I said yes, of course!
